Greetings from all of us at Dr. Green’s office! Spring is practically here, and we can’t believe it’s been a year since we closed our doors for two months, to help slow the spread of COVID-19. We are excited to see the promise of a healthy and safe community realized with the rollout of the vaccine. As it’s becoming more available to Mainers in our area, we continue to see patients feeling a bit more relieved. We are so happy that our patients have felt comfortable coming in to continue their hygiene visits and necessary dental treatment. Our patients know that we are dedicated to keeping them safe from COVID-19 exposures when they visit the office. See our last blog post HERE to learn more about the measures we take to keep our patients safe.
Our staff is always learning something new here at the office. Emma, one of Dr. Green’s dental assistants passed her Radiology Exam in March, and is now awaiting her certification from the Maine Dental Board. Dr. Green has been focusing this Spring on learning about a new tool he acquired for the office: the T-Scan. This is a sensor that measures your bite and shows where you hit the heaviest when you close your jaw together. Dr. Green has been studying “the bite” (or occlusion) for years, and looks forward to using this new sensor to help patients who experience headaches and toothaches caused by an uneven bite.
Our office has been busy since the start of the year, seeing our patients for their hygiene recare visits, and for their restorative appointments with Dr. Green. We have met a handful of new patients too! It’s always fun to get to know new visitors of the practice, and to help them on their way to complete dental health. If you or someone you know is looking for a new dentist in Southern Maine, reach out to Dr. Green’s office today!
