COVID-19 Office Update

The safety of our patients and staff is our top priority. Like most dental offices in our state, we closed our doors to the practice back in March of 2020 to help slow the spread of COVID-19. We opened back up on June 1st with a full schedule.

We were very happy to see our patients, and found that many of our them were looking forward to doing something “normal” again, like coming in for their routine hygiene appointment. And now, a few months later we are excited to see that our patients are catching up with their treatment plans, and being proactive about their dental health.

We have always practiced what is known as “Universal Precautions” when it comes to infection control in our office. This means that when a patient leaves the hygiene room, or one of Dr. Green’s operatories, we disinfect every surface of the room as if the previous patient was sick. We all have attended infection control classes, wear necessary PPE, and thoroughly sterilize all instruments in between appointments.

Since we opened up again in June of 2020, we have made a few changes to the patient experience here at the office and we are excited to share them with you below:

  • We ask that upon arrival, our patients call the office to let us know they’re here, and wait in the parking lot until we are ready to seat them.

  • Our patients are required to wear a face covering when entering the office. If a patient does not have one, we are happy to supply one.

  • When we greet our patients, we take their temperature and ask them a series of simple screening questions about their health before entering the office.

  • We are now offering a pre-treatment rinse to our patients to swish before their procedure.

  • We have added air purifiers in each of the rooms.

  • Our staff has added to our typical donning of PPE with moisture-proof gowns, and high-level surgical masks.

  • The schedule we are now managing lessens the traffic of patients in the hallway and waiting room, and appointments are beginning on time.
